The Challenge: Produce a permission marketing seminar for informational and prospecting purposes.
As I became the product expert for LeapFrog Interactive's HTML e-mail system, the responsibility to speak with full knowledge of the product became part of my responsibilities in a seminar series on permission marketing. This was done in conjunction with a search engine marketing seminar.
The Result: A successful seminar series that drove home an important message while bringing new clients to the table.
The seminars provided another tool to LeapFrog to promote its product along with smart business e-mail practices. After a 20-30 minute presentation, I would field audience questions on permission marketing and LeapFrog's system. The presentation itself focused mainly on permission marketing in an effort to keep the overall message focused beyond a simple sales pitch. A collaborative effort with the company's design team added some terrific graphics to the final presentation.
The seminars provided a great introduction to new businesses. It also provided a venue for convincing undecided clients to purchase the system or prompting current clients to improve their e-mail marketing practices. It also received praise from a public speaking coach and motivator who was a client at the time.
